Rockey Auction – Northumberland
T-Ross Brothers Construction completed major renovations and facility improvements for Rockey Auction in Northumberland, Pennsylvania, transforming the existing structure into an upgraded and more functional auction and event facility designed to support expanded operations and long-term use.
The project involved modifications to an existing 56,250-square-foot building along with the construction of a new 45-foot by 65-foot pre-engineered steel loading dock addition. The new loading dock structure was designed to improve operational efficiency and material handling capabilities while integrating seamlessly with the existing building. Throughout the project, T-Ross Brothers Construction coordinated demolition, structural upgrades, concrete work, fire protection systems, and building additions to support the owner’s operational needs.
Interior renovations included removal and replacement of large sections of existing concrete flooring, subgrade preparation, installation of new reinforced concrete slabs, and modifications for new overhead door openings. The upgraded flooring systems were designed to provide improved durability and long-term performance for high-traffic auction and storage operations.
The project also included installation of new insulated overhead doors, loading dock equipment, dock levelers, vehicle restraints, and associated loading infrastructure designed to improve shipping, receiving, and operational flow throughout the facility. Extensive fire protection improvements were incorporated into the project, including new sprinkler systems, underground mains, fire department connections, and code-compliant safety systems throughout the building.
The new pre-engineered loading dock addition featured insulated metal wall and roofing systems, upgraded thermal insulation, integrated drainage systems, and new lighting and mechanical systems designed to support year-round operations and energy efficiency. Additional improvements included excavation, foundation work, retaining structures, dock ramp construction, and associated site drainage infrastructure.
Industrial and commercial renovation projects of this scale require careful coordination between existing operations, structural modifications, safety requirements, and new construction integration. T-Ross Brothers Construction worked closely with the owner and project team throughout every phase of construction to deliver a facility that improved operational functionality while maintaining high standards of quality and durability.
This project highlights T-Ross Brothers Construction’s ability to successfully complete large-scale renovation and expansion projects involving existing facilities, loading dock infrastructure, concrete systems, fire protection, and pre-engineered metal building construction.
