Acrow Bridge – Milton
T-Ross Brothers Construction completed the Milton Steel Canal Crossing Bridge Project located along Canal Street in Milton, Pennsylvania. The project involved extensive site preparation, reinforced concrete construction, and assembly of a prefabricated steel panel bridge system designed to improve access and connectivity within the canal corridor.
Working in partnership with Acrow Corporation of America, the project required coordination across multiple phases of heavy civil construction, including excavation, grading, foundation construction, and structural bridge assembly. The work combined precision concrete construction with large-scale site development and bridge erection operations.
The project began with site clearing and grading operations that prepared the area for construction while improving the surrounding terrain and roadway approaches. Crews completed clearing and grubbing, erosion control measures, excavation for bridge abutments, grading of roadway approaches, and restoration of disturbed areas. Additional work included gravel walkway installation, embankment shaping, topsoil placement, and site stabilization.
A major portion of the project focused on reinforced concrete foundation systems and approach slabs designed to support the bridge structure. T-Ross Brothers Construction completed final grading and compaction, subbase preparation, formwork, reinforcing steel installation, concrete placement, and finishing for the abutments, wingwalls, backwalls, and approach slabs. The project also included installation of anchor bolts and structural connection components necessary for bridge assembly.
The final phase of the project involved assembly and installation of the steel panel bridge system. Crews coordinated the offloading and staging of bridge components before completing installation of the bridge panels, decking systems, footwalks, guardrails, and handrail systems. The project also required temporary support systems, structural bolting, and specialized erection equipment to safely complete the bridge installation.
Infrastructure and bridge projects require careful coordination between structural engineering, site logistics, safety procedures, and construction sequencing. T-Ross Brothers Construction successfully managed each phase of the Milton Steel Canal Crossing Bridge Project while maintaining a strong focus on quality workmanship, efficiency, and long-term durability.
This project highlights T-Ross Brothers Construction’s ability to successfully complete heavy civil and bridge construction projects involving excavation, reinforced concrete, structural assembly, grading, and infrastructure development.
