Our History
The Ross family’s roots in construction run deep in Central Pennsylvania, dating back to 1756 when four Ross brothers immigrated to the United States from Scotland. For generations, the Ross name has been associated with craftsmanship, integrity, and a commitment to building strong communities. Over the centuries, the Ross family has played a role in shaping the region—constructing facilities, businesses, and infrastructure that continue to serve local families and organizations today.
That legacy lives on through T-Ross Brothers Construction, Inc., currently owned and operated by brothers Todd G. Ross and Tom E. Ross. In 1996, the brothers purchased the 38-year-old company from their father, Thomas H. Ross, continuing a family tradition built on hard work and hands-on experience. Long before ownership was ever a consideration, Todd and Tom were immersed in the construction trade—starting at the ground level by sweeping floors, organizing materials, and learning the value of diligence and attention to detail from an early age.
Under their father’s guidance, the brothers were taught not only how to use and install materials properly, but also why quality workmanship matters. As they progressed through every phase of the construction process, they gained a comprehensive understanding of the industry—from planning and material selection to execution and project management.
Because they have worked their way through each aspect of the business, the Ross Brothers bring practical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and seasoned judgment to every project. This hands-on experience allows them to propose thoughtful, efficient, and durable solutions to even the most complex construction challenges—always with the same pride and responsibility that has defined the Ross family name for generations.
