Patton Railway Service Building

T-Ross Brothers Construction served as the general contractor for the Patton Railway Service Building #3 Addition in Milton, Pennsylvania. The project consisted of the construction of a 26,666-square-foot pre-engineered metal building designed to expand the facility’s rail service and warehouse operations.

The addition was developed as an open warehouse environment, providing flexible industrial space capable of supporting logistics, material handling, freight movement, and daily warehouse operations. The completed facility includes two loading docks along with a dedicated train car loading and unloading area, allowing the building to efficiently accommodate both truck and rail freight operations.

The scope of work included furnishing and installing the complete building system, including foundations, frost walls, retaining walls, and a reinforced concrete slab-on-grade floor system designed for heavy industrial use and long-term durability.

To successfully integrate the new addition with the existing facility, the project also required modifications to the original structure, including adjustments to wall systems, framing, and overhead door openings to create a seamless operational connection between the buildings.

A significant portion of the project involved specialized concrete construction, including loading dock walls, forklift ramp slabs, interior and exterior slab-on-grade installations, dock leveler pits, protective bollards, and sloped concrete areas designed to support rail siding operations and high-volume warehouse activity.

The pre-engineered metal building system incorporated structural steel framing, insulated wall and roof systems, and a standing seam roof assembly, creating a durable and weather-tight structure designed to support long-term industrial operations. Additional building components included overhead doors, walk doors, and operational infrastructure necessary for efficient day-to-day facility use.

Construction was completed through a carefully coordinated sequence of sitework, concrete placement, structural steel erection, and building system installation, allowing the project to progress efficiently from initial groundwork through final completion.

This project highlights T-Ross Brothers Construction’s expertise in industrial facility expansions, pre-engineered metal building construction, and rail-served logistics environments. We are proud to have delivered a functional and efficient addition tailored to the operational needs of Patton Warehousing and Logistics.
