LEWISTOWN – Thirty-four one or two-bedroom apartments will soon be ready for elderly residents in Lewistown.  The second of two apartment complexes being built along South Dorcas Street is nearing completion. T-Ross Brothers Construction Inc. built both apartment buildings.

The first complex, Mann Edge Terrace, opened to residents in 2013.  The apartments feature a kitchen and dining area, a living room, bedroom and bathroom.  Also at the complex is a community room, sitting lounges, library, computer lab and porch.

The latest complex is called Mann Edge II and sits next to the Terrace complex.  This complex will also offer 34 apartments for the elderly, based on low income eligibility. Project financing is provided by SEDA-Cog Housing Development Corporation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency and other local contributors.
